About
Navigating through the flourishing underground music scene on raw
talent and dedication, the Chicago based indie rock duo consisting
of lead singer/multi-instrumentalist Ilija Srbinovski and drummer/backup vocalist Max Svadlena, have been recording and perfecting
their debut album. With a sound ranging from distorted guitar
anthems, to melancholic ballads, the duo manages to capture the
problematic aspects of young adulthood, through clever lyrics,
infectious beats, and catchy melodies. Their debut album is highly
awaited among the suburban/city
music scene, amplified by the circulation of demo tracks
throughout the community. It is expected to release in early 2025,
with the singles being released over the fall and winter of
2024.
The duo met while attending the University of Illinois at Chicago,
after Ilija put up posters around the school looking for band
members. After connecting with Max through email, the band was
soon formed, and named after a math course that Ilija was taking
at the university. There was instant chemistry between the two as
their sound echoed through the hallways of the Chicago Music
Garage where the band had their first practices. Bonding over
their love for music, they managed to combine Ilija's Yugoslavian Rock and Experimental Rock influences
(Bajaga i Instruktori, Queens of
the Stone age, Radiohead etc)
with Max's love for Twenty One
Pilots, Austrian superstar Falco, and punk/rock music into their debut effort.
